What is TAAU?
The Arthritis Association of Uganda (TAAU) is a patient-focused organisation supporting people living with arthritis. We connect members, caregivers, health professionals, partners and communities around their needs.
How the association began
People affected by arthritis came together to learn about the condition, share their experiences and organise for better awareness and support. TAAU grew from this community-led effort.
Our goal
To improve the health standards of people living with arthritis in Uganda.
Members have described barriers such as limited access to care and support, employment challenges and fewer opportunities to earn a living. TAAU works to bring people together, increase awareness and improve access to health and community support.
TAAU is based at Apollo Nsibambi Road, Namirembe, Kampala.
